With the increasing volume of data collected throughout the production process, it is quickly becoming manufacturers’ most valuable asset. However, the true value of this information can only be realized if it is made actionable.

Integrating Evocon with other systems used in your company is one of the critical steps to achieve this. This article gives you the basic information you need to know about Evocon integrations.

What Integrations are Possible with Evocon?

ERP Integration

Integration with an existing ERP system is by far the most common type of integration that our team implements.

CMMS Integration

An integration between Evocon and your CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) provider enables you to maintain your machines and production lines at their peak efficiency while reducing the chances to experience losses due to unplanned maintenance activities.

Temperature, humidity and other environmental indicators

Currently, this functionality is not supported out of the box. We are able to collect and visualize additional parameters with a custom setup.

Other Evocon integrations

We are currently piloting other integrations with our clients. Once they are standardized, we’ll publish the information here on our homepage.

If you have any questions regarding possible integrations with different systems that would benefit from the data that Evocon collects, please get in touch with our team.

How Evocon Integrations Work?

In most cases, we integrate Evocon using any of the following three solutions.

API

It is possible to send production data to Evocon via an HTTPS API call. Integrating Evocon using API requires us to generate a device id and whitelist it in the API.

To make a successful API connection, all we need is a timestamp and the quantity (of products) for that timestamp.

Industrial Automation Protocols

If your machines or an existing production system already collects production data, then it is possible to forward that data to Evocon programmatically.

The program first collects data from a text or *.csv file, database, plant historian, OPC-UA server, PLC, etc. Then it processes the data to make a data packet and sends that data packet to our Amazon Kinesis stream.

Programmatic data connections vary case by case because there are differences in systems and software, and the way we have to configure them is different for each customer.

We have examples of code available, and we are happy to help your programmers make the necessary connections. If you have no programmers at your factory, we can set up this program with some help from your IT department.

XML files

Integrating Evocon using an XML-file is used for importing production orders from an ERP system to Evocon. For this to work, we require you to install a small program.

Why Integrate Evocon?

The factory of the future is in the ecosystem of software solutions that:

  • Enable data-based production management.
  • Conveniently support efforts to improve the production process.
  • Automate time-consuming activities of a production facility.

Our goal is to help you achieve this by enabling effective communication between departments, systems, and processes. The fact is that correctly utilizing your data from across different platforms allows you to:

  • Make intelligent business decisions
  • Drive growth
  • Improve profitability

By integrating Evocon with other systems in your company, you open up an opportunity to transform your production process. You move from unproductive “guesstimating” to accurate data-based decision-making.
